Tactics Of The Enemy

Beware of the tactics of the enemy

Revelation 12:10 (TPT)

Then I heard a triumphant voice in heaven proclaiming: “Now salvation and power are set in place, and the kingdom reign of our God and the ruling authority of his Anointed One are established. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who relentlessly accused them day and night before our God, has now been defeated—cast out once and for all!

The Ministry of the Word and Prayer

Acts 6:1-7

Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. 2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. 3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; 4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” 5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, 6 whom they set before the apostles. When they had prayed, they laid hands on them. 7 Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Christ The Power And Wisdom of God

18 For the [g]message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the [h]disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a [i]stumbling block and to the [j]Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

 Christ is our True wisdom.

Everyone in this modern world wants to be educated. Every family in a community or society measures their progress in life on their educational achievements. We make plans and save up some money to take our children to the best schools in the world. We desire to be associated with the so-called intellectuals. We want to prove to the whole world that we are well-educated.

We want to advance in Science and Technology. I want to appreciate that it is a good thing to do. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is not all that there is in this world. Apostle Paul says that we have the right to do everything, but not everything is beneficial. That means, everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. Yes, education is important, but it is not the only thing we need. We also need God’s wisdom that we receive from His Spirit. We need His life that helps us to live in this present evil world.

We need to seek beyond our intellectual needs and development. We should not focus on developing the mind only. The Bible records that we are spiritual beings. So, we should seek to develop our spiritual lives as well. We should seek the face of God.  We should desire to bein His presence like never before.

From the scripture above, we are shown the two kinds of wisdom. The wisdom of the world, and the Wisdom of God. The writer shows us that if we depend on the wisdom of the world, we are not wise because it is foolishness to God.

We receive His Wisdom as we receive His word through preaching, we also receive His wisdom by His Spirit.

It says that when we receive Christ, we also receive the power and the Wisdom of God. This wisdom gives us the mind of God in all we do. We need His wisdom to deal wisely in the affairs of this life. It can make us wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Tim3:15).

We also need His Word and anointing to become wise in our salvation. The Bible says that His Word can build us up and give us our inheritance amongst all that are sanctified. That means His word can cleanse us and make us holy. Jesus said we are clean through the Word that He Has spoken to us.

The Benefits of Being in His Presence

We need time to be in His presence to be transformed to be like Him.

Inclusion: apart from receiving wisdom, these are the benefits of being in His presence all the time:

Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.

29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might, He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

He is the everlasting God. The creator of the ends of the earth.

His understanding is unsearchable.

He knows all things. He knows the end from the beginning.

He does not faint.

He does not grow weary.

He gives power and strength to the weak.

In him, we shall not be weary.

In Him, we shall not faint, because he increases our strength.

I encourage you to remain in His presence so that you receive more of His life, power, strength, wisdom and understanding.

Arise and Let Your Light Shine Forth

Matthew 5: 13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

You Are so Special to God

Keep Sharing The Good News

Acts 5:20 NKJV

“Go, stand in the temple, and speak to the people all the words of this life.

1 Thessalonians 2:8 NIV

So, we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.

We Like Comfort Zone.

In most cases, humans don’t like changes. They want to stay where they are. They don’t like trying new things because of fear. They call that fear of the unknown. They prefer working on the template that is already there.

Trust the Lord in Everything

Psalm 27:1-2

Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the City, the guards stand watch in vain.

One day, we were going out for a weekend as a family. We all assumed that the doors were closed and locked. When we came back after three days, we were so surprised to discover that we left the door for the sitting room wide open. My first reaction was to check if the money was still there. We left a large sum of money because we could not get time to deposit it in the bank.
